Christian Siriano Makes Over Your Kitchen Sponge

Fashion designer Christian Siriano is giving your kitchen sponge an extreme makeover.

The Project Runway Season 4 winner has teamed up with the O-Cel-O brand on new scrub sponges inspired by his 2011 spring collection. Launching now at retail locations nationwide, the scrub sponges offer fun and unexpected style for the sink - perfect for cleaning up your hot mess of dirty dishes.

"African, Indian and Asian influences served as the inspiration for my first-ever sponge designs," said Siriano. "Both patterns, Leopard and Muse, are meant to captivate the eye through the use of color and the latest trends."

The limited edition O-Cel-O™ No-Scratch Scrub Sponges are ideal for cleaning delicate surfaces from glassware and china to counters and stainless steel cookware. The scrub sponges are available in a 2-pack for a suggested retail price of $2.59 or a 3-pack for $3.60.

Nina Garcia on The Style Strategy

Marie Claire Fashion Director and former Elle Editor-at-Large Nina Garcia knows a thing or two about fashion. On this week’s episode of Barnes & Noble Tagged!, host Molly Pesce sits down with the multi-tasking fashion maven and New York Times bestselling author to discuss the release of her third "fashion bible," The Style Strategy.

Watch Nina talk about how her style has been forced to evolve due to raising a toddler, and how her new book will help readers shop smart, stay chic, and make their style last in these tough economic times. Stay tuned for Nina’s favorite frugal shopping tip from the book, and to hear about the intense emotions on the set of her hit show, Project Runway.

Project Runway All-Star Challenge!

For the first time in Project Runway history, eight former fan favorites and Project Runway superstars are returning to the catwalk to compete against one another in the two-hour special, Project Runway: All-Star Challenge. The spirited competition premieres Thursday, August 20, at 8PM ET/PT and will be followed by the highly anticipated premiere of the sixth season of Project Runway at 10PM ET/PT and the debut of the all-new companion series, Models of the Runway, at 11PM ET/PT.

At stake for the designers are not only the ultimate bragging rights, but also a $100,000 cash prize. Will the designers be up to the challenge of returning to the workroom, working under the “Gunn” (as in Tim Gunn) to create a successful fashion line? Are they ready to, once again, face the critiques of Heidi Klum, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia, as they showcase their creations?

The designers competing in Project Runway: All-Star Challenge are:

Daniel Vosovic, Season 2
Santino Rice, Season 2
Jeffrey Sebelia, Season 3
Uli Herzner, Season 3
Mychael Knight, Season 3
Chris March, Season 4
Sweet P, Season 4
Korto Momolu, Season 5

I'm rooting for Mychael (my favorite PR alumnus) to redeem himself and take it all. Who will you be cheering for?

First Look: Project Runway Season Six

The BS knockoff that is Bravo's The Fashion Show (they booted Reco in part 1 of the finale, but let James Paul and his trash bag creations stay...discuss amongst yourselves) just makes me appreciate Project Runway all the more. And I'm so excited that season six will make its much-anticipated debut on Lifetime Television on Thursday, August 20 at 10 PM ET/PT.

Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia will guide sixteen contestants as they showcase their design skills to see who makes the cut for Fashion Week. Filmed in Los Angeles and New York City, this season will feature influential guest judges from the worlds of fashion, music, film and television.

Can't wait? Me neither. The Project Runway blog is pretty entertaining, and should keep me from twitching until the August premiere.

Project Runway Returns On August 20th

Mark your calendars and set your DVR. Project Runway returns to television on August 20th.

But starting this season, you'll have to tune into Lifetime instead of Bravo to see who makes the cut and who gets auf'ed. Rumor has it that season six will be steeped in controversy. Tim Gunn dishes to the Miami Herald, "There's a big time shocker, some purported cheating....the blogs will be clogged. They won't be able to vent enough about it."

Visit the Project Runway section of mylifetime.com for more information about the designers and the new season. There's enough tasty morsels to tide you over until the premiere.

This Fall, Victoria’s Secret Will Be Fierce, Fabulous and Flawless

Project Runway’s fourth season winner, Christian Siriano, has partnered with Victoria’s Secret to produce a limited-edition collection of makeup, slated for release in late summer.

The line, inspired by his Fall 2009 collection, includes: a black kajal eyeliner ($12), a bronzer/highlighter trio ($24), three neutral lipglosses ($14), five eye shadows ($14), a face brush ($32) and ruffled cosmetic bag ($16).

One of the eye shadows, a black pigment with flecks of gold, is called 'Gilded Fierce.' Come Fall, I’m all about that shade - even if it makes me look a hot tranny mess.

Mark your calendars…the Christian Siriano for VS Makeup collection hits stores in August 2009.

I Just Met Christian Siriano at New York Fashion Week!

Fifteen minutes ago, after picking up my press pass at Bryant Park, I decided to kill some time back at the hotel before covering backstage at the Barbie show. Just as I'm leaving, I spot a familiar face...and before I my mind could even process what was happening, I blurt out, "OMG, it's Christian Siriano!"

He turned around, obviously a little scared that some stranger is screaming his name on the street. I quickly collected myself and told him what a huge fan I am. I had to check myself, so I didn't say anything really lame - like using the word "fierce" ten times during our 45 second encounter. Although I may have let it slip that I stalk him on Twitter.

Long story short, even all bundled up and in a rush to get to wherever he was going, he still looked fierce, fabulous and flawless!
